Textile Printing

What is reactive printing?

Reactive printing is a process that gives superior wash and rub fastness and a brighter colour yield than pigment. Reactive print requires steam and washing after printing. this washes off all unfixed dye which gives you an excellent wash fastness.

What is the best printing method for my requirements?

Due to our vast experience and expertise we will determine the best method of printing for your individual requirements, whether this be digital or rotary printing.

How is my design printed?

Using reactive inks allows for superior rub and wash fastness, there are 4 processes involved in the reactive printing process. It all starts with coating the fabric, custom designs are then printed onto the cloth. After the fabric is steamed and then washed off. These extra processes really allow colour to develop and inks to lock into place

What material/fabric is most suitable for XYZ?

Take a look at our printed fabric guide to give you an idea of what fabric best suits your individual requirements. if you are still unsure call us on 01538 388877.

Will my fabric shrink?

There is a chance of shrinkage when printing onto naturally formed cottons, it is due to the nature of the cotton and out of our control.

5-10% tolerance

Please note with all products there is a 5-10% print tolerance of quanties being higher or lower. This means for example if you order 30 tea towels, we may deliver 33 tea towels or 27 tea towels potentially. This is because there are 6 processes involved in production

  • Print
  • Steam
  • Wash
  • Cut
  • Sew
  • Trim

If an error arises in these areas, we need to be covered which is why we may print an extra row to account for this. Any unders will be refunded for, and any overs will be billed for.

Any problems, do contact our team in the office 01538 388877 or info@magictextiles.co.uk
